Eugenio Benetiz, Board of DirectorsMr. Benetiz was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 1956. His parents, along with his brother and two sisters, moved to Brooklyn, New York, in pursuit of a better life. His father made sure all the children were involved in some sort of organization such as the YMCA, Boys Club, Colony House, etc. The traditions and morals of these organizations, as well as the ones his father instilled, have made a permanent impression on his life.

Mr. Benetiz graduated from George Westinghouse in Brooklyn, where he studied radio and TV repair, and later decided to pursue a career in auto trade.

Mr. Benetiz moved to Jonesboro, Georgia in 1980 and began working for Marriott in Flight (in contract with Eastern Airlines) as an equipment and vehicle repair technician.

He later moved to San Bernandino, California, and attended Los Angeles Technical College studying Heavy equipment truck repair for two years and working for a national technical school as an automotive instructor. Later, he worked at Riverside Community College, where he was in charge of the vehicle and equipment maintenance fleet.

Mr. Benetiz then moved back to Georgia and owned his own auto repair and tire shop for several years. He moved into the Rosalynn Apartments in 2007, where he has received a great deal of support and provided a chance to redevelop himself.

Mr. Benetiz loves people and wants to share the gifts he has received as a tradesman. He enjoys being an important part of Project Interconnections, Inc.
